Thiruvadhirai or Arudhra Darshan festival is celebrated in Tamil Nadu and it is celebrated on the full moon day of Margazh (December-January). On the day of festival people worship the Lord Nataraja , the dancing Shiva.People believed that Loard shiva have given darshan to saint Manickavacakar on this day on the completion of his recital of Thiruvampavai.In Perur of Melai Chidambaram, Lord Shiva is believed to have given darshan to Kamadhenu , a divine cow on this day.On the day festival early morning abhishek is commenced on the image of Shiva and ceremony continues till day-break when the lord give darshan to the cow.
