About Festival :
On the first day, Prabhas are taken out in procession.Kalyanam, Rathotsavam Ponnaseva, village procession, Vasantotsavam and Pavalimpuseva are performed on the that days. People offers to Lord Cash, silver and gold ornaments, coconuts, fruits and flowers.Some Devotees also offer cows and calves, to the Dhwajasthambha in fulfillment of their vows.
People believed that on this day, childless women who perform puja for five days with wearing wet clothes would be blessed with children. On this day Fasting and Jagaranam are also observed. During this festival, a fair is also held near the temple.
