About Festival
Jamshed-E-Navroz is the first day of the first month of the Zoroastrian year. Navroz festival of the Shia Muslims comes a week after the New year day.Parsis follow the Fasli calendar and their New Year commences with the Vernal Equinox. People celebrated this festival 9 days.

On this day Parsis offer special prayers on the day savour the fixed menu of the festival and greet each other.Jamshed-e-Navroz is a festival celebrated by Parsis all round the world.Parsis dress in new clothes and wear gold and silver kustis and caps. They decorate their houses with auspicious symbols like butterflies, stars, birds and fish.

People preapre the traditional drink during this time is falooda and it is prepared with milk and flavored rose water.They also make a “Ravo” breakfast which is prepared from suji , sugar and milk. People visit Fire Temple or Agiary for a special thanks giving prayer called, ‘Jashan’. After it people greet each other by saying, ‘Sal Mubarak’.
