About Festival
Bhishma Ekadashi is dedicated to Bhishma the grand old warrior of Kurukshetra and the son of Ganga and Shantanu it is observed on Magha Shukla Ekadashi, the eleventh day in Magha masam.This festival is a important event at Antarvedi Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, East Godavari district, in Andhra Pradesh.

During this festival celebrations, Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam (divine marriage celebrations of Lord Narasimha and Goddess Lakshmi) is celebrated on Dashami day and Ratha Yatra is celebrated on Bhishma Ekadasi day.

On this day Brahmins and Kshatriyas observe a fast, to perform puja to Bhishma and break their fast on Dwadasi, is the subsequent day by parajama a feast. All the people worship the lord Bhishma .
